Directories allow SmartVoice users to search through their locally saved contacts, recent calls, or the enterprise-wide list of SmartVoice user extensions.

Mobile App

  1. All directory options are found from within 'Contacts' button at bottom.

  2. Device will show last directory used.
  3. Modify by selecting current option at top, then choosing new directory to view.
    • SmartVoice Contacts: Locally saved contacts within the SmartVoice App.
      • These contacts synchronize between other mobile/desktop SmartVoice App devices with the same user login but not with Polycom phones.
      • Can either show All or only show Online users.
    • Local Address Book: device's address book. This would show all contacts from a person's personal address book on the device.
    • Directory: this is the Enterprise Directory.

Desktop App

  • Contacts: 2017-08-28-SV-DesktopApp Locally saved contacts within the SmartVoice App.

    • These contacts synchronize between other mobile/desktop SmartVoice App devices with the same user login but not with Polycom phones.
    • Can either show all or only online users by going to 'Contacts' menu and selecting 'Show Offline Contacts'.

Polycom Phone

  1. Press home button.

  2. Select 'Directories'.
    • Touch screen 500/600 series: press 'Directories' button on screen.

Contact Directory

Displays contacts saved directly to this phone often as Speed Dials. Typically, this would be contacts outside of the company.

  • These contacts don't synchronize between phones or with the SmartVoice App.

Recent Calls

A list of all the recently placed or received calls. By selecting an Entry and pressing the dial key that number can be called.

Broadsoft Directory

This is the Enterprise Directory.

Enter key word using phone's dial pad.

  • Polycom 500 & 600 series phones can show onscreen keypad by pressing top right keyboard icon.

  • Advanced Search: Search specific fields for more targeted search results.

    • Available on Polycom phones, not mobile/desktop apps.
    1. Press or select 'AdvFind' button.

    2. Select specific field to search: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, or Extension.

      'Mobile Phone' field isn't used at this time.
    3. Once contact is found, select entry and press dial key.

    Missing Enterprise Directory

    If 'Broadsoft Directory' is missing, reboot the Polycom phone.


    Privacy

    The Privacy service allows a SmartVoice user to exclude themselves from the group and enterprise directory listings as well as from the Auto Attendant extension and/or name dialing. The user can also prevent their phone status from being available to other users.

    2. Scroll to the Privacy Section and make your choice

    If you do not see this option listed have your Group Administrator contact Business Technical Support to have it activated.
