Tree Canada is a national non-profit organization dedicate to planting and nurturing trees in rural and urban environments. Shaw has partnered with Tree Canada since 2018 to plant over 35,000 trees across our footprint, and last year our partnership resulted in offsetting offset over 1,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e), equaling to 6,500 flights and compensating for over 135,000 kg of paper. Earth Rangers is a kid’s conservation organization, dedicated to educating children and their families about biodiversity, while inspiring them to adopt sustainable behaviours. Shaw has supported Earth Rangers since 2014 providing sustainability education to over 70,000 students in over 240 Canadian schools, and this year is supporting education around energy conservation, eco-friendly transportation and ecosystem contamination.
