Descriptive Video Service (DVS) is an aid for persons who are blind or vision-restricted. Learn more about descriptive video and about other Rogers accessibility options.

Accessing DVS on Rogers equipment

Descriptive Video (DVS) can be activated on a Rogers Standard Digital Box, HD Box, or HDPVR through the programming guide. Depending on which programming guide you have, there are different ways to access your DVS settings.

DVS enhanced programming is offered by most Canadian broadcasters, each of which may now offer a few hours each week in their regular programming schedule.

If you are using Rogers' traditional guide

  1. Press Settings twice
  2. Select Setup
  3. Select Audio Setup
  4. Select Descriptive Audio Service
  5. Select the > arrow key and OK to turn on the service.

If you are using Rogers' HD guide

  1. Press the Menu button on your remote.
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Audio Settings
  4. Press the > arrow key to highlight DVS
  5. Arrow down and move the slider over to On
