How to install McAfee for business apps

McAfee Multi Access security app can be installed on up to 10 of your devices. The following operating systems are supported:

Note: Installation must be done from the My Shaw website (my.shaw.ca) in a browser.

Step 1: Activate from your My Shaw account

1. Go to my.shaw.ca and sign in.
2. Navigate to My Services > Internet.
3. Scroll down to the McAfee Multi Access section.
4. If you haven't registered for McAfee yet, click Register, enter your information and then click Continue. If you've registered before, skip to Step 5 below.
5. Click Download.

You'll now be taken to the McAfee My Account website to download the app.

Step 2: Download from the McAfee website

1. In McAfee My Account, click the red Download button.
2. Click Agree and Download to accept the user agreement and start the download.

3. Copy the serial number provided in red text in case you are asked to enter it later.

   Note: This serial number is only valid for a short time and is unique to each installation.

Step 3: Install on your computer

1. Once the download is ready, open the file from the bottom of your browser or by navigating to the default folder on your computer used for downloads.
2. Follow the prompts and accept any warnings that appear during the installation process.
3. Choose Complete Installation when asked.
4. Click Done to complete the installation.

Note: Before you begin, check your Downloads folder for any existing copies of the McAfee installer. If you have any, rename or delete them. Having an older copy of the installer present may cause problems during installation.

Here's how to install McAfee Internet Security on your Mac:

Step 1: Activate from your My Shaw account

1. Go to my.shaw.ca and sign in.
2. Navigate to My Services > Internet.
3. Scroll down to the McAfee Multi Access section.
4. If you haven't registered for McAfee yet, click Register, enter your information and then click Continue. If you've registered before, skip to Step 5 below.
5. Click Download.
6. You'll now be taken to the McAfee My Account website to download the app.

Step 2: Download from the McAfee website

1. In McAfee My Account, click the red Download button.
2. Click Agree and Download to accept the user agreement and continue.
3. Copy the serial number provided in red text in case you are asked to enter it later. Note: This serial number is only valid for a short time and is unique to each installation.
4. Click Download. The file is saved to the default location on your computer (usually your Downloads folder).

Step 3: Install on your computer

1. Once the download is ready, go to the folder you saved it to, then open the McAfee-MacInstaller-x.x.dmg file.
2. To ensure the McAfee browser plug-in installs correctly, make sure all your browser windows are closed.
3. Double-click the McAfee-MacInstaller icon to start the installation.
4. Follow the steps to finish the installation. When asked, enter the serial number that we made note of earlier.
5. If prompted, enable the McAfee WebAdvisor extension for Safari.

Step 1: Activate from your My Shaw account

2. Navigate to My Services > Internet.
3. Scroll down to the McAfee section.
4. If you haven't registered for McAfee yet, tap Register, enter your information and then tap Continue. If you've registered before, skip to Step 5 below.
5. Tap Download.

You'll now be taken to the McAfee My Account website to download the app.

Step 2: Download from the McAfee website and Apple App Store

1. Once in McAfee My Account, tap the red Download button.
   • Note: If you're starting the install from another device, you can choose Send Link to have a download link sent to your mobile device.
2. Copy the activation code provided. Note: This serial number is only valid for a short time and is unique to each installation.
3. Tap the blue Download button.
4. You'll then be taken to the Apple App Store.
5. Tap to download and follow the prompts to install the app on your device.
6. Once the install has finished, open the McAfee Mobile Security app on your device. Follow the prompts to accept the user agreement.

Step 3: Installing on a different device

1. To send by email, select Email and enter your email address. Then click, Email me.
2. Alternatively,you can enter your country and phone number under SMS to send a link via text. Then click, Text me.
3. You will then receive an email or SMS from McAfee, click Protect me under Mobile protection to open it and click Download.
4. Record your activation code as you may need it later. and click Download.

5. Tap Download.

You'll now be taken to the McAfee My Account website to download the app.

Step 2: Download from the McAfee website and Google Play Store.

1. Once in McAfee My Account, tap the red Download button.
   • Note: If you're starting the install from another device, you can choose Send Link to have a download link sent to your mobile device. See "Step 3: Installing on a different device" below for more details.
2. Copy the activation code provided, as you may need to enter it later.
3. Tap the blue Download button.
4. You'll then be taken to the McAfee Mobile Security app page on the Google Play Store.
5. Tap Install and follow the prompts to install the app on your device.

Once the install has finished, open the McAfee Mobile Security app on your device. Follow the prompts to accept the user agreement.

Step 3: Installing on a different device

1. To send by email, select Email and enter your email address. Then click Email me.
2. Alternatively,you can enter your country and phone number under SMS to send a link via text. Then click Text me.
3. You will then receive an email or SMS from McAfee, click Protect me under Mobile protection to open it and click Download.
4. Record your activation code as you may need it later. and click Download.

Step 1: Send download link to mobile device

1. Open McAfee Mobile Security on your device.
2. Slide the Device drawer up.
3. Select Protect More.
4. Send a link via Email or SMS.
5. Send an install request from a mobile device

Step 2: Download from the Email/SMS link

1. Login to the email account on the device you are wanting to protect.
2. Click Protect Me.
3. You will be redirected to a download page.
4. Download as prompted.
