Changes to DNS settings can take up to 24 hours to be updated on all servers around the world. To reduce downtime, make sure to pick a slow day to make any non-urgent changes.
Using multiple hosting companies Some domains may host only their emails or only their websites with Rogers, rather than both. Managing these records will need to be thought out carefully while setting up:
The primary hosting service will be used for managing your DNS records and to point to the secondary hosting service for the email or website service being hosted there.

All 3 MX records (referenced above) must be in place for redundancy and load balancing. Failure to use all 3 MX records increases the chance of getting blocked, as well as other mail issues.
Shaw Legacy Hosting
Your domain may still be using Shaw Legacy hosting. Legacy hosting name servers point to:
- ns5.no.cg.shawcable.net
- ns6.so.cg.shawcable.net
If this is what your domain name servers report, it is best to update your name servers to the correct name servers listed above. This will allow you to manage your own DNS through the DNS Manager. The name servers can be updated through your Registrar.
If it is not possible at this time to make these updates through your Registrar and you need to update your DNS, call into Rogers Business Technical Support and we can make these changes for you.
I am using Shaw Hosting as my primary host: Ensure your registration service points to the Shaw Hosting nameservers records listed below. Configure the DNS settings for email or website that are hosted elsewhere in the Shaw Hosting DNS manager. You will be able to get this information from your other host.
I am using another host as primary: Ensure your registration service points to the other host's nameservers records. Configure the DNS settings for your email or website portion with us using what is listed below. Your third party host will be able to assist with this.
