How to manage SmartVoice voicemail greetings online

Learn how to manage multiple different greetings for your SmartVoice voicemail. This can all be done through the SmartVoice online dashboard.

Pre-Set Greetings

The following scenarios are already set up in the SmartVoice portal for you.

  • Busy Greeting: plays when you are already on the phone.
  • No Answer Greeting: plays when phone isn't in use and no one answers the call.
    • Useful for after hours or lunch hour when no one is available to take calls
  • Alternate no Answer Greetings: Additional greetings that can be selected later by calling *98 or remote access number.

How to access Voicemail Greetings

  1. Sign in to the SmartVoice portal as your individual user or as the group admin.
  2. Select Calling Features and scroll down to Messaging -> Greetings.
  3. Select View to see what is currently set up or Edit to modify.

How to change the system Greeting to your recorded message

By default,the generic system greetings will play until you configure the greetings to use the message you recorded and saved. The system greeting is a generic greeting that states:

"The party you are trying to reach is not available to take your call.Please leave a message after the tone.Press the pound key to end recording."

To change the system greeting:

  1. Select Edit in the Messaging->Greetings section.
  2. Use the drop downs for each message and select the appropriate recording.
  3. Press Save to complete changes.
