Overview
The speed dial feature with Rogers Business Advantage Voice (formerly SmartVoice) allows you to dial a phone number quickly using a chosen speed code.
Use the desk phone to assign a speed code
If you have the Speed Dial 8 service:
- Lift the receiver.
- Dial ✱74.
- At the dial tone, enter any 1-digit speed code (2-9).
- Enter the phone number.
- Press the # key.
If you have the Speed Dial 100 service:
- Lift the receiver.
- Dial ✱75.
- At the dial tone, enter any 2-digit speed code (00-99).
- Enter the phone number.
- Press the # key.
Use the web portal to assign a speed code
- Go to voiceportal.shawbusiness.ca.
- Sign in using your username and password.
- Choose your speed dial service:
- For Speed Dial 8,select Speed Dial 8.
- For Speed Dial 100, select Speed Dial 100.
- Add a number using the plus (+) icon.
- Enter the phone number next to any Speed Code. Make sure to include the country code (e.g., 1 for North America) and the area code.
- Enter a name in the Name
- Repeat these steps to assign additional speed codes.
- Select Save.
Import and export speed code lists
If you have Speed Dial 100, you can import and export speed code lists as .CSV files. This is useful for sharing your speed codes with colleagues.
- Go to voiceportal.shawbusiness.ca.
- Sign in using your username and password.
- SelectCalling Features.
- Under Outgoing Calls, selectEdit next to Speed Dial 100.
- To export your speed code list:
- Under Export CSV, selectSubmit.
- To import a speed code list:
- Under Import CSV, selectBrowse, pick the .CSV file, and select Upload.
- Select Save.
Make a call using a speed dial code
If you have the Speed Dial 8 service:
- Lift the receiver.
- Dial the 1-digit speed code (2-9).
- Press Send.
If you have the Speed Dial 100 service:
- Lift the receiver.
- Press #.
- Dial the 2-digit speed code (00-99).
- Press Send.
