Overview

Rogers Business offers three Plantronics headset models for Advantage Voice (formerly SmartVoice): the Blackwire C3210A wired headset, the 3200 UC and 4220 UC Voyager Bluetooth headset.

Plantronics Blackwire C3210 USB Headset

Plantronics Voyager 3200 UC Bluetooth Headset

Plantronics Hub app

The Plantronics Hub app is required to use headset's call answer/end functions inline control functions with the Advantage Voice app. Plantronics Hub is also used to view headset battery life, change languages, update firmware, or personalize settings and alerts.

Install Plantronic Hub for Windows and macOS.

  1. Download Plantronics Hub.
  2. Open install file and wait for the automatic installation to complete.

Connect Headset

  1. Connect the headset to the computer's USB port.
  2. Launch the Plantronics Hub app.
    • If app indicates outdated headset firmware, update using the instructions found here.
  3. Launch the Advantage Voice desktop app and log in.

Set up headset

  1. Go to Options using the gear icon.
  2. Select Audio/Video and verify headset shows selected for each:
    • Headset
      • Output Device
      • Input Device
    • Speakers (optional setting to use Advantage Voice in speaker mode, usually set to devices internal speaker/mic when not using headset)
      • Output Device
      • Input Device
    • Level
      • Ring Device (alert signal)

Enable Headset

This step is only available on Windows, but headset will still work on macOS, just without ability to use disconnect button on headset.

  1. From Options main menu, select Extensions.
    • USB Device Add In: disable this (only one can be enabled at a time)
    • Plantronics Add-in: enable this
  2. Select Enable All in the pop up window.
  3. Restart the Advantage Voice app by going to the File menu and clicking Sign Out.

Your Plantronic headset should now be ready to use.
